My mate has just bought a newholland t5.120 with cab and front suspension and electric gearbox havnt had a go on it yet but looks a very well speced little handy tractor

Got a price coming for a specced up t5..
Main problem I can see is that the t5.100 is the same weight as it's bigger siblings ..

Are any other tractors as quiet in the cab as Deere 6 series ? The 5100r certainly wasn't with lots of hydraulic noise.

The claas and NH have lots of gearbox whine too ..

I guess this is the plaugue of a compact tractor , the 6 series the cab is almost completely separate from the tractor preventing vibration noise transmitting into the cab but this makes it longer and higher as a result . Bigger tractors also have higher emission regulations which as a side effect make the tractor quieter I believe , I think the main difference in noise between a 30 series and an R series is due to the DPF and I don't think the 5r has a DPF

I think you are right, he said he went to collect a trailer 100 odd miles, and then deliver it 100 odd miles, this is haulage, not ag use, should be on white fuel as well, a lorry looks the cheaper option
The trailer was picked up from a forestry road job, with no way to load it on a lorry. Then the tractor headed to another job with the trailer. I’ve never seen a tractor and baler going to a job on a lorry? And before you ask, some guys up here cover over 50 miles with the baler..

H’mm, funny quote.. we travel a radius of at least 100 miles for contract work so slow travel is not much use. The fendt’s have all the toys more than likely but the speed from 20 years ago. I bet other makes travel faster now. 25 years ago 100hp was a powerful tractor before modern transmission’s sapped half the power!
What you need is a fastrack
