Interesting seeing a pig unit under one roof.. only 30m x 18m shed. 50 sow farrow to finish.

Opinions? Health issues?

Yess very pricey.. wouldn't be enough work for full time either i wouldn't of thought.
Good slurry though and could probably work if suppling a butcher or abattoir contract.. said in the farmers weekly article it cost was £350,000 all in.

Also interested here in pig rearing. We cant seem to get a contract though. have tried several companies and none seem interested. Been passed on some details from forum members and also mentermoch ( they suggested stockcrofts) but had no luck.

What sort of net return on capital could you achieve if you are valuing your money @ 3 % ?
