Small portable petrol water pump and "pressure" lance

My Landlord's Honda petrol water pump is on the way out. It's job is to lift about 5-6m out of the river and pump in to IBC or cattle water troughs

I'm thinking of buying a pump. I've seen a Hyundai powered 2-stroke pump that will lift 8m head , 1.5" male thread inlet and outlet. Outlet has a regulating tap

Other job will be to replace an electric pressure washer for cleaning the cattle trailer

Could I find fitting to reduce 1.5" male outlet to a hose size (? brass hosetail for a Hozelock hose? ). Then buy a jet nozzle, I also have a vehicle cleaning brush with Hozelock type male connector

You’d need to get the pump performance curves and have a look. In theory, the pressure can increase as the flow drops, and you may get a pump with two sweet spots that can do both.
If it’s cheap enough, just buy it and stick a narrow jet on the front. It might not get terribly high pressure but it will probably still clean things.

If it really is Hyundai you may stand a chance. I have a Hyundai here and is no more Hyundai than my geese are.
From experience go for a Lincoln 2" off eBay.
Check the lift capacity and use a foot valve on that height of lift.

Might not be quite what you want but you did say portable!

Interesting. Think the 5,5m suction lift will be the issue but interesting just the same

Thank you !

JP - why do you have that level of lift? Could you not drop the pump a bit closer to the source level and have a bigger head? Better for the pump to minimise lift and maximise head too - reduces the risk of pump cavitation and priming issues.

The river bank (at this time of the year) is at least 10ft from the water surface , I know as I once slipped in and took forever to find somewhere I could get out! I would get worried about the pump slipping off the bank if it was too close

I'm quite used to pumping and priming for lift with the fire service portable pumps but I do appreciate everyone's input

:) Going to see if the Milwaukee rep at work can assist with @ACEngineering 's suggestion tomorrow
