Smaller supplier operations

Always try and support the local indi folk where I can

Local tool company was very successful then sold out to a national outfit which pee'd off all the previous customers and promptly went bust.

Got another cracking little tool company here just now, just hope they don't get an offer they can't refuse.

Local tractor dealership which used to be great is now part of a bigger multi vehicle type operation that won't be getting any more custom from me unless they sort themselves out.

They seem to get taken over by the beancounters and business school grads who don't realise that good customer service is crucial

I see a parallel here with the dairy industry, the big just getting bigger but when times get hard sometimes being small is better.
I said only the other day on another topic, in these hard times I'm re evaluating who I do business with and I'm favouring the small business that gives good service/support as these are the guys I want to see survive. If the big boys take over I don't think they'll have my best interests at heart.
I've got a very good local mechanic. Just him and his son. Got his own workshop on his families farm.
Very good on Manitous, if you need anyone!
Having anything done at main dealers, other
than warranty stuff, is ridiculously expensive.
Same with our local garage, who do all our vehicles once out of warranty.

If it's who I think it is he services most manitous around here, he did mine last week. A good thorough mechanic, would put the staff at some main dealers to shame. (Although I must point out that comment DOES NOT apply to local manitou dealer)

What brand or brands are in the seed mixed you sell?
Grass only or roots etc?
Grass seed mixes,Catch crops,Cover crops, Green manures, Stubble Turnips, Forage Rape,Kale,Fodder Beet, Pollen & Nectar mixes, Game cover, Environmental mixes and Maize. Also Silage additives.

I have a trade agreement with Mark & Sarah Davies, owners of Green Farm Seeds Ltd. I can supply the full range of products and mixes they supply along with bespoke mixes.

I am a commissionaire for DuPont Pioneer and can supply their Maize seed, Oilseed Rape and Silage Inoculant range.

I can and will supply quality seed at prices that beat the large companies and also online traders. I have a contracting business which works together with the supply business, I'm not dependent on selling online for my living.

If you'd like more information and or a quote please feel free to pm me and join the growing list of TFF members who are saving on their seed purchases.
