Another question.
As many of you already have smart tellies ,,there are apparently two ariel connections ,,one RF (old style plug) and a single free sat connector which is built in ,,,do I need a seperate dish as its only got one input ( sky boxes have two imput cables with HDMI out to telly ,,or could I take a feed of the sky box through an RF lead into the freesat plug ,,( no I dont want sky before you say use it )

Sky box has two cables for recording purposes, just connect one straight to the TV for Freesat TV.

I've a dish with a quad LNB one into the TV and two into a freesat recorder, the last into a second recorder I gained when dad died, so can actually record 3 programmes at he same time and still watch TV. Not that I've ever found three things worth recording at the same time.

At present some people are having problems with Freesat , ITV and BBC2 pixelating.

A sky box will still work without paying any money to $ky! :)
My friend that lives here has the sky contract so its a live service ,,she likes her sport ,,not for me .
So because the hdmi port is in use to her telly ,,could I run a feed from the RF port to another for the freesat service on a smart telly ,,cant find anything on the net about it

BTW: It is relatively rare for TV's sold for the UK market to have a built-in satellite receiver and even then they aren't 'freesat' * ones, so if you want a smart TV which can also receive satellite channels, make sure that it definitely has the sat connector on the back.

* If the TV is 'freesat' enabled, it will give an EPG as well as the channels, if it isn't you will just get the satellite channels.

Had lots of problems due to thick walls and long house. Installed a linksys router that piggyback into existing BT router plus some link nodes in a few places round house. Signal goes from router to 1st node then transmitted to 2nd etc. Works fine.

Go in Richersounds.... It'll have a second to none Warranty I think 6 years now... They'll know what you require and advise accordingly.

My Samsung had a fault with a couple of months warranty left. No Bother. Man came out went away , had a call no parts we'll email you a voucher to the value off. New Samsung on the wall with warranty.

Cheap TVs over the years... You couldnt of rented or Brighthoused them for less

Blag Sky.... They'll always do a deal. Sky Q With Booster puts the package around the TVs in the house. They gave that for less than the price without Q

Don't fully understand the question sorry ☺️ not do I know the answer :scratchhead: but a freesat TV won't give you anything that a freeview via an aerial will

You might be able to, can you not just connect up temporarily and see if it works.

On my TV I have a freesat type box (humax) which is fed by 2 sat cables from an old sky dish, the Humax allows me to record or record and view 2 programs. On the occasion when I’m recording 2 programs at the same time I can select the aerial input (see below) which theses days is digital freeview
