Anybody got a Jack Pyke Argyle smock and how do they rate it

I've got one, won it in a competition so didn't pay for it, seems fine, keeps me dry and warm tho only wear it for shooting or out with the family, rather wear my carhartt for working in !

You're like me, tall and long in the body so it should just come to the bottom of yer backside when you are stood up

Thanks @JP1 decided in the end to get a Harris tweed version of the sams type of design.
Decided I need a cheer up and buy something I’ve always wanted but never felt I had the use for or deserved

What are the actual benefits of a smock over a jacket tho? I can’t think of any

No full front zip, so there's less places water can get in (IF it is waterproof) and no front zip means less draughts get in. Keeps you drier and warmer.

But you're more restricted for ventilation because of no full zip. Just need to get your clothing layers right, underneath it.


You either like them, or don't... I'm converted. Love my smocks

See we have an other version of the rideline smocks, this one is called the evolution!! Not cheap. Anyone have one? They say it's the best of the best?

Tempted but not sure I like the "new generation" material...

I come and go on the Ridgelines. But could maybe do with a 2nd big smock for lambing time...

I‘ve got “staff” for the work. I’m just there to look good and be the weight for the combi clamp.

aye the sizing is mental kiwis must be big buggers. Swandri and swazi are the same. . I like a smock as they make you look cool as fuk but i look rediculous in them i have a 42in chest a 36in waist and im 5,9 so just looks stupid if i get one big enough to go round my chest and shoulder its round about my ankles
