Was out in my ridgeline smock all last week in some rather horrible weather, it really isn’t suited to a day in the rain, just gets saturated, and I can’t see how the type of material it is wouldn’t, and once it’s wet there’s no chance of breathability. Washed it in Tech wash and reproofed it after and I did notice that the water was wanting to get off the garment a lot faster after reproofing (dripping off quickly rather than holding onto it totally saturated, and dried much faster), so maybe that’ll help, but I doubt it’ll last.

Kaiwaka bib and brace here, with a cheap jack pike smock top over a jumper if it cold, and a waterproof light hiking jacket if raining, works a treat. Got a Swazi jacket on the way to try out, liked the last one I had, and could wear it for best to!

Been wearing a jack Pyke smock for a few months, only £52 on ebay. No complaints yet, using on farm and out beating. Been hand washing but it is building up a stronger cow Shite smell as time goes on so might have to relagate to just on farm and pick up another.

Regular washing is important which a lot of people don't seem to realise. The fabric doesn't work with dust/dirt/grime on it - it actually helps to hold the water which logs the material. Reproofing with tech wash/nikwax type stuff is all good too.

Percussion stuff seems well made.

Get it, and give us feedback (y)
Wore this smock a few times now, was out the other morning in the pissing rain at the deer. Home bone dry and 2 deer for the freezer! (y)
I would say its very good value for money just order a bigger size than you usually do. Its light weight too so layers underneath needed if its really cold.
