Pay decent staff a decent wage!!! , fckin madness , what kind of farmer are you ?no place for staff that are hard on kit anywhere any more, even on dairy and livestock farms. a 100k tractor is a 100k tractor, no matter what kind of farm/contractor owns it, and it needs to be looked after. rather pay an extra couple £ per hour for a decent operator than have endless repair bills and downtime.
.......and keep the feckin back window shut...........preferably a self cleaning tractor as we all know what these dairy farmers are like. Also plenty of air fresheners to keep her smelling sweet.
No it’s built into everyone’s starting price now.Is there such a thing as 0%?
Is this warranty covered by manufacturer or outside warranty firm like when I go to Argos the sales assistant is trained to sell extra cover ,same with cars but would you get full cover at 8000 hrsGo for new 8 year warranty or 8000 hours made best sence to us and added up with minimal risk.i beleave you can purchase this option on second hand Agco kit if still in original warranty.
Manufacturer warranty, everything covered except glass, is what we have gone for.Is this warranty covered by manufacturer or outside warranty firm like when I go to Argos the sales assistant is trained to sell extra cover ,same with cars but would you get full cover at 8000 hrs
or only partial
We’ve 2 Agco machines and the warranty is manufacturer covered, no excess on warranty work, and I’ve been pleased with it. When I last looked at it, some other brands were manufacturer for yr 1, then it moved to a 3rd party which included excess to pay on breakdowns and various components excluded depending on what level of cover you bought. Is this warranty covered by manufacturer or outside warranty firm like when I go to Argos the sales assistant is trained to sell extra cover ,same with cars but would you get full cover at 8000 hrs

1000hrs a year for new tractor , 40 hrs a week is only 25 weeks work , I don’t think 1000 hrs would touch the surface in justifying a new 200hp tractor, no way.New ain't cheap, but if 1000 hrs a year doesn't justify a new one then there is something wrong, plus you get the exact spec yoe need / want.
Need to replace our big tractor (require 200hp+ boosting up) but am not sure of best way forward.
Buy new - expensive but warranted
Buy used - cheaper but could be a bag of spanners
Long term hire - not overly cheap but no hidden costs unless over hours. No equity either
Tractor likely to clock 1000+ hrs on triple mowers, 6m power Harrow or strip tiller, large silage trailer, large slurry tanker and fert spreading
Front links/PTO and guidance a must
