Is it really going to snow as badly on the western side of UK as the forecasters say ?
I am supposedly driving up to Oban on Saturday but could go earlier....forecast is suggesting it might be an interesting journey !

Time to get your snowploughs back on boys.....20-40 cm predicted for the high ground round here by end of tomorrow....good grief:banghead:

With an elderly mother to check in on the morn sometime, I might well get some more use out of the winters tyres yet..

Well no let up in the snow, its put down about 9 inches at low level overnight, looks like ploughs have given up on the high road over the hill, its blowing in quicker that they can plough, managed to get some handy bales down to the ewes late yesterday, it will be a long hard trudge today, down hill easy and fun, but back up, may take sometime.

Got 1-2 feet now and deep drifts, its no fun.Luckily can just about get across the fields with the tractor but you have to be careful or you end up in 4-5 ft deep stuff. Its a mess now and its going to be a slog for a few weeks now as the main lot start lambing in a week. Its a bad situation now which is only going to get worse before it gets better.

Sorry about quality of pictures, this was last night and it was still blowing a blizzard. Ground level below the lower fence line normally drops by around 10ft.

Cant work out how to put text between pictures so will have to do them seperately. Top of the picture there is an 8ft drystone wall, where my ewes would normally take shelter

Calf pen for older calves at the top of cubicles, they haven't been in there since Thursday now though.
