The people said they are willing to pay more tax if it goes to the NHS. What a gift not to miss for a prime minister.
So we have a populist policy of spending on the NHS and a suggestion of an end to austerity as a run up to an autumn general election............then the tax announcement follows.
Also. She can shame down the remoaners in her party before next weeks amendment votes by telling them they are putting the Brexit bonus at risk and endangering her spending plans.
