So what can we expect and when?

It just goes to show how quickly some abandon there frends, it wasn't long ago ruminants were stopping us from freezing now they are no longer required as we can do ourselves by burning fossil fuel we want to get rid of them.
So what happens when the fossil fuel fuel runs out and we have no ruminants to keep us warm ? Another ice age?

The above sounds stupid but if ruminants cause a short term warming effect now, then they have for hundreds/thousands of years just by being here, take them away and that won't happen so if we get to a point where we have no ruminants and produce no emissions ourselves apart from the short cycle ones we are now then we will freeze to death.
I would rather have a few cows and sheep about than freeze to death
I’m sure the ruminants being a problem is a red herring, they’ve been on this planet as long as we have, releasing carbon from fossil fuels on the other hand is a relatively new phenomenon

I think we need to forget the idea the government's action on climate change will be practical or sensible. Realistically we won't come close to meeting any of our climate targets so we all know what that means - fudge the numbers, export the problem, ignore the real sources and what little gets done will be designed to grab headlines not deliver results.
If the government think planting trees, rewilding and taxing meat will get pressure groups off their back and give the illusion of reducing emissions then it will be forced upon us. For all people's talk of caring about the environment they won't change their lifestyle, so moving the cost onto a small group of 'wealthy landowning elite ruling class farmers' while keeping voters happy and consumerism growing makes perfect political sense.

It’s bad enough sleeping with one old cow let alone more

What can we expect ?

Well it depends who you ask .

The IPCC (Politicians employing corruptable scientists) tell us its going to get exponentially hotter, sea levels will rise, crops will fail and people will starve.

If you ask solar scientists like Willie Soon and Valentina Zarkova ,they will tell you the sun is entering a Grand Solar Minimum, the next 30 years will be cooler, crops yeilds will be lower and people will starve.

A bit of hypocrisy everywhere
Greece blames Global warming for its fires,
But has one of the biggest Brown coal open cast mines to supply its power network,
Australian fires, similar massive open cast mines of all descriptions,
Far East floods, but dump massive amounts of waste into the seas,
California, one of the most densely populated and intensive states in the states.

How about we lead the way,
Cancel Hs2, Stonehenge tunnel. New bridge across the the Thames, New East West Rail link,
Heathrow third runway and stop all the bloody distribution depots, that are blighting the country.
Greek economy runs on coal !.It's all f#cked This country is not even in the top 6 most polluting countries
Good luck telling China what to do !

Probably because no ones worked out how to make money out of the second option, so they run with the first

You can expect an apology from your gov't for not questioning the science that led them to believe ruminants eating grass "producing" methane are the big chunk of the problem

not saying you'll get one, but now they've [IPCC] decided that methane from fossil sources has higher warming potential than methane that was CO² last month, you could expect one

Climate change or misguided lack of forest management?

It's a paradox.

If you have a problem with vermin destroying things, you destroy the vermin, or cull to a level that is acceptable.

The logic is not to find an environmentally friendly way of making the vermin's environment more sustainable long-term, as eventually it will be destroyed anyway, you are only buying time.

The population of the planet will explode over the next 30 years, all adding to consumption and driving demand to even greater heights, the problem and cure is staring us all in the face.

So, which politician will be bold, and suggest a moratorium on child birth for the next five years ?
