If your agronomist is also selling then you need to change agronomist.Fungicide reduction will only happen if growers reduce their use. I doubt very much if agronomists will recommend reducing sales.
OK
fella in my yard today applies 4 cwt/acre, thinks others might use 6
He reckons it might -fag packet maths here- give him a tonne an acre.
So £120 worth of fert gains £200 worth of corn....not allowing for other extra inputs.
Still stacks up.
Further analysis - which would need bigger fag packet- was the job won't work on poor ground, as there isn't an extra tonne to be had.
thanks all..... trying to get a handle on what's going to happen.
he uses 4cwt total for wheat?OK

That's min dose here .500 kg/ha.
Maybe urea, a fair dose
May I ask in what way are you surprised please?
34.5 % ?4 cwt/ac is 1.5 cwt more than Gramp was using in late 70s on 1st wheat, to get 2.75t/ac of Huntsman.
That's min dose here .
N is cheap compared to T'sno wonder you are discontent
Farms on proper cereal ground make 11 tonnes using 165 kg N
we will just have to alter our farming, to suite another change of events, done it before, and will no doubt have to alter again, farmers seem quite good at adaption.
Who#s going to buy tour beans ? appears to be a popular crop this yearActually, a few months back, I was a bit taken aback by this N thing. After a few months of thinking around it, I am pretty much embracing the new challenge
N is cheap compared to T's
Last year a cwt cost less than a tenner , some folk are spending £50 on T2
Who#s going to buy tour beans ? appears to be a popular crop this year
At 3 cwt to the ton they should last a whileGo in the mix. Carcass price up every time a lorry comes
Added bonus, I don’t buy anything in, which always used to come at about 5 am as the french seems to do everything stupidly early
At 3 cwt to the ton they should last a while
BeansWhat is 3 cwt to the ton?
