I don’t know about you but I only manage one harvest per year, so yea, it’s good if they last 52 weeks

Who#s going to buy tour beans ? appears to be a popular crop this year
We harvest beans six days a week 52 weeks a year and they’re French beans too. You must be doing something wrong.I don’t know about you but I only manage one harvest per year, so yea, it’s good if they last 52 weeks
'corn'....we didn't get as far as specifying which.he uses 4cwt total for wheat?
You were lucky to get 6.5t/ha in 2012The problem is the weather risk element. Back in the UK we were always at about 9 tonnes. Always applied imputs accordingly. Then 2012 comes along, same inputs but fusarium comes along and you end up with 6.5 tonnes of crap. Blows the figures out the water and basically you would be better off with low input, low output and low risk system
Around here if fertiliser prices don't sort themselves I predict a lot of maize being grown on land that would normally have had a cereal crop.
thought you were going to say, with only sh1t under it.Around here if fertiliser prices don't sort themselves I predict a lot of maize being grown on land that would normally have had a cereal crop.

We put about the maximum we could of cattle manure under some spring barley last year and you couldn;t tell the difference where we ran out accross the field in terms of yield or it going down. For the first time in over 20 years, I’m not growing any maize this year, so going to have to grow spring barley with just manure . How much I dare put under it , is the question . Might be best to store some of the solid muck for next years autumn crops . Or sell some ?
