So what is the strategy?

Countries haven’t because in this current world of human making, everything is about money:rolleyes:
Iirc your mother is still in the uk, who would look after her if she fell I'll while the nhs was shut down, could she provide fuel and food for herself while the shops were shut, what would her mental health be like if she couldn't leave the house etc etc. It might seem easy but in the real world it isnt possible and all for a virus that would at worse estimates kill 1 or 2 percent many of whom would be carrying poor health with a short life expectancy , now I know many will say that's callous but how many extra have died from suicide, cancer and other illnesses that haven't been treated during lockdown.

I really don't know if its as simple as that it kills 1 or 2% then we move on. Quite of lot of previously healthy people have contracted the disease in situations of high viral loading and although many do recover, quite a few seem to end up with chronic conditions.
I'd agree we shouldn't need a full lockdown, but that's only if people are sensible and don't get into close proximity in large social gatherings particularly indoors.
Sadly though a good many people are quite frankly balmy and so won't listen to reasonable sensible advice, the virus spreads and numbers accelerate.
Unless people are sensible and willing to make some effort, then this won't end well.

And then what? No one ever allowed into or out of UK at any land , sea and airport without compulsory 14 days quarantine - and would have to include the airplane staff and ship staff. Unlike a high health pig or chicken unit where isolation is possible it is not with humans, though I note Sturgeon is trying her best.

That's what is happening here at the moment. No cases in the community (that they can find) at the moment but I think 20 odd at the border in quarantine.
My guess is the border will remain closed until other countries sort themselves out of there is and effective vaccine/treatment for the virus.
Will it work? No idea, I suspect its only a matter of time until it gets out again and who knows what the government will do then (plus we have an election coming up) but its been nice, living with no restrictions or distancing for the last month.

Most people that have got it are not showing that they aquired antibodies or people that have any antibodies are not retaining them for a very short peroid. To me its like Virus phenumonia you dont get immunity by getting it

Of course getting viral pneumonia results in immunity. Or death. It's one or the other. A body overcoming a disease is the acquisition of immunity. Anyone who has interacted with Covid in any way, and not died from it, has developed immunity.

I have not seen any evidence of this before. Viruses have been doing what they do for a long time and they are good at it. They mutate and form multiple strains, resistance to one does not automatically make you immune to another.
