Not got any seed yet. May start towards the end of next week, weather and seed depending. My best yields this harvest came from crops drilled in the third week of September.

We haven’t started but thinking same as you.... heavy land... haven’t got sown up in the autumn and had to resort to spring barley. Intend drilling as soon as poss from now on
If your land is clean I would be getting it in. Must confess I already have some in, over year seed that didn't test particularly well, will give me time to redrill, if I have to. Won't drill anything else until 2nd half of this month though

Only got ground clear that’s due for second wheat. All first wheats after maize or beet this year, so mid October drilling, which usually gives the most economic yields .

I've 75ac ready but won't be drilled for a month or more. 35ac of grass that won't turn over yet. Will change plough, power Harrow drill in October. Otherwise will plough beans in. 57ac osr is crossing it's fingers for rain on Thursday. Grass reseed looking unlikely to go in, so will be ploughed and levelled and them drilled in spring.
