Social media

Social media platforms, like many other aspects in life have a set of terms and conditions you agree to when signing up to them. How many of us actually read all of small print in contained in them? Pretty sure somewhere in the T&Cs it will state that they can delete inappropriate content and impose bans on users for not adhering to those terms and conditions. I just surprised he got away with it as long as he did!
While that is true if we accept they have the right to say to censor the POTUS where does it stop you sentence about him getting away with it says a lot, just because he is bonkers doesn't make it right to shut him up.
Say in ten years time they have gradually shut up all the people they dont like and they put a puppet up as candidate and stifle all debate against her, trump is an easy target or has been made one to see if we accept their censorship

Trump is dying by the sword he lived by.
If he was a nobody social media wouldn't notice him, but he did his best to draw attention to everything he has said, which got him well...attention.

Social media shouldn't be used to encourage acts of terrorism like Trump did, sono wonder he's banned.

Not alone should Trump be banned from social media, for having incited insurrection from within government, but he really should be also charged with treason. He should face the full rigour of the law, and ultimately reside at the pleasure of the US government in a place of incarceration, without leave for parole.

Its quite disturbing that Trump ran his Presidency via a social media platform, if he’d spent less time tweeting and put more effort into running the country he’d probably have had more success.
Social media has its place, sadly far too many people rely on it completely for every aspect of their lives.

People are banned from social media every day of the week, their own benefit and that of society as a whole.

So let people decide he is bonkers, in ten days time he is history. Banning him is feeding his supporters. This is a very slippery slope, as I've said before if you believe your side is right improve your argument(your being generic in this case not you personally)

Thsts fine for nobodies but when the POTUS is its a very slippery slope, you are in favour because you dont like him, from your comments there are a good few others in politics you would happily see banned to, open you eyes for once and see where this is leading. Millions have died round the world for free speech and you are supporting scrapping it, trump is bonkers but will soon be history

SM is all fine depending on how you use it, we can all set our accounts to follow who we wish to and ignore those we dont. This week has been one of the best since I joined Twitter and I get far more from that platform than I ever do from TFF quite simply because we are talking with a diverse community of named faces. We will likely sell 10/12 whole pork boxes on FB this week, wont fall out with a vegan or watch a single video of a dancing cat.

I tend to agree but until Biden is in the WH I think Trump must not be allowed on Twitter, after that, who cares.

Will people say the same when biden threatens china or korea.
Ban him now then if you are sure it's when, not if. The whole Trump didnt start any wars thing is also BS, if 911 had happened on his shift then he would have relished the opportunity to flex his mighty presidential muscles, indeed Rudi and the die hard Reps would have been pushing him all the way.

The difference between the Biden and Trump Presidential terms will be stark, to start with Biden won’t threaten countries with sanctions on social media, he’ll use diplomatic channels to engage with other countries to build back the relationships that Trump has wrecked over the last four years.

I realise there’s going to be a massive contradiction in this post, but I suspect many would secretly agree:

I wouldn’t be doing now what I do without the internet or social media, both have revolutionised how not only business operates but moreover how the world works, everything is impacted from it both-good and bad.

Most business wouldn't be where it is without it, nor as efficient.

However having lived in the world before tinterweb I find it hard sometimes not to agree with statements like this:

15 years ago we'd never heard of twitter or FB. I'm sure I could manage without either TBH.

You can't allow a social media to be a platform for people to say anything they like though, mainly because you appear to be condoning what is said.

Likewise with TFF, it's totally unimportant, but we still use it.
Quite. I could do without TFF too if it came to that. Never bothered with Twitter at all. Joined FB because I thought it a good place to sell stuff. It's OK, but my goodness.....the time wasters.....
