For free if they are going to a good home. Obviously they have to be tagged and their movement reported and recorded in triplicate - or not if you are a paid-up member of the criminal classes.

Otherwise, a fiver for one, with a bit of discount for bigger numbers.

I’ve been selling week old lambs for £35, £30 if they’ve taken 6. I reckon that I’ve put too much work into getting colostrum into them, bottles and then training them onto the milk machine to let them go for any less. I’d rather keep them and rear them myself than let them go for less.

what age do you guys sell on at then? weve done it at a couple of weeks - and provided some powdered milk.

Been selling ours at £25 when 4-6 days old and happily sucking on the milk bar, think that's a fair price as the hard work of getting the sods on the milk bar has been done.

its a baby sheep that has no mum so its called a sock lamb and gets bottle fed and looked after by people until its old enough to be in with the herd

Is it not 'sook' or 'souk' lamb and auto correct changed it?

Orphan lamb is what they should be called.

Price wise, trade of course is well down this year but all over the place depending on the day, i would say a really good strong setting on lamb £20 ex farm, smaller lambs £10 or weaned sorts £40.
