Yes,you are correct.

Maybe it is deliberately vague, for a reason.

It was costing us £22 per tonne delivered and tipped so for that money I think I will stick with it and apply more.

We are in a high rainfall poor quality soil area so I’m sure on balance it will do some good.

It’s just no one seems to be able to quantify the good.:scratchhead:

And it is a bitch to spread as it is so dusty.:poop:

If you’re going to use some more, you could be that someone to do the quantifying.;)
Do a bit of testing before and after, then you’ll be able to tell us what a great/pee poor product it really is?(y)
You’d think the company would be quite keen to pay for your (independent) testing too, given the potential free advertising from you publicising the results on here........;)

UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_1e94.jpg Has anyone any experience of using this product? Can anyone answer the following questions?
1. What method do people use to premix?
2. Can it be added to liquid N (Yara N35 7S)?
3. What rates are recommended?
4. Does it work, and is it worth the hassle!?

Any advice much appreciated

I think I'd want to check with the manufacturer before adding it to liquid fertiliser in case of a chemical reaction that damages it.
They can be used in liquid form and there are instructions available for mixing and making foliar urea.
I have not used them yet but aim to trial this year.

I've used a similar product. It can be mixed with liquid, but it's a right pain. It seems to dissolve very slowly but will eventually. I put it through a small quad sprayer before.putting it through our big sprayer. I decided at that point that I would only be applying it via a micro applicator on the drill. The stuff I was using said itit w 100% soluble. I'd be a bit concerned that your stuff says it's only 85%soluble. We are using humic acid at drilling and fulvic with fert.

I have read some stuff about this but please remind me as to the theory as to why it will help? Thanks for your previous reply. I want stuff like this to work but wherever I have tried odd bits I can't find a difference.

I think the carbon in it binds to the minerals in the fertilizer and prevents them leaching away from the soil. Basically increasing the CEC of the soil. Keeping nutrients readily available for plants longer.

'Humic acid' seems to cover a multitude of sins, what exactly do they mean by it?

I have always been led to believe that you should not put lime and FYM on at the same time as they counteract each other which seems to contradict the above ? Confused.
