silt could be easily resolved if ditches were cleaned out before the silt got to the rivers
and probably a lot cheaper if they let farmers do it
o yes that’s what they used to before ea = environment r soles got involved in the job

I remember ploughing warp land with a 4000 and 2 furrow reversible plough and hitting bog oaks, would stop you dead and you slid forward into gearstick, very painful

I associate bog Oak with fenland peats or silt over peat. Most of the ploughing I've done has been with a 4f dowdeswell behind an 8150 mf on clay. So not an experience I've had. I dont expect I'll ever plough any warp land.
