Solar farms without subs - what the appetite for it?

What happens at the end of 30 years or if the company folds?????

All depends on who actually owns the land he solar farm is sitting on. In my case and that of many others, the land reverts to the owner who leased the land for the site as the Lease expires. On the actual solar farm site itself, a new planning application will need to be made to keep the panels etc on teh site, else the site will be cleared at the Owner of the farm's expense. Monies are usually setaside for this purpose.

In many cases, it is expected that the landowner will take over the ownership and maintenance of the solar farm as an income stream, but who knows... its 20-25 years in the future! Will the DNO's still want the juice??

So there's usually money put aside for clearing the site & it's possible to take over the ownership and maintenance of the solar farm? Both or the option of one or the other?
Asking because at the early stages of Solar farm .
The 1st firm that came here said 25yr lease with them having 5yr options there after! Is that not done now?

If tenant defaults then the site returns to the landlord, a tasty thought for the landlord so long as: sufficient decommissioning bond is set up to return site to field. Normally deal is the landlord keeps the bond or pays £1 for the solar farm as it stands and sacrifices the bond.

Based on stories here, 25+5 is a good deal at this time.

I'm being told 5Mw battery same size as 40ft shipping container, is that about right?
Worried about visual impact of lots of batteries.
For the size your putting in is that in one building?
[/QUOTE

Could be wrong but thought it was 1 x 40ft per MW. whats the point in putting them in a shed?

AIUI, both options are available, it will depend on your individual agreement though...

I have to say with the benefit of hindsight, the people I used were very proactive on my behalf in the negotiations, and negoti
ated a good deal for me... ? It also helped that the PV company and their negotiators wanted the project to succeed, which was a big pluspoint IMO.

I don't like the open ended Options you are being asked for... Timescale it?
Obviously index link everything coming your way and work hard on any performance based payments.

I had a glitch in a payment due, by several weeks because of change of PV company and bank... I gently pointed out that if they failed to make payments on time, they would be in default of the Agreement... Payment in my account that very day! :ROFLMAO:

It was a company several years ago that said about 25 +5 , present company have offered index linked , we haven't got into the nitty gritty as they're finding out cost of connection first.
Who did your negotiations? ( if you don't mind me asking )
