A few years back, I wanted a small compact and happily avoided any of the Chinese models ....

Looked at a Solis, but the Importer seemed flakey and I was not impressed about spares availability. I belive that this has changed...? Build was so so, basic but solid. I found more budget, and bought a Kioti and rate it very highly on build and reliability, but their prices have been creeping up (like everything!)

If a modern Solis has minimal electronics, no emissions crap and basic hydraulics, it will be better than some of the offerings in mainstream dealers I reckon!! Chances are they will be from the Far East anyway!! ;)

Apparently the solis 50 has relatively few electrics, the 75 has more??
What kioti have you got?

I look forward to the day when I can try a practical electric van - Some days they need to cover 800 miles plus as on Friday of last week, 1st trip from Yorkshire to London and back by 11:00 then another driver down to Crawley and back with a different driver.
Maybe it would mean buying more vehicles at twice the cost of a diesel to accommodate the charging time

If it wasn't for the reduced carrying capacity and price I'd have one like shot.

800 miles plus at 60/70 mph that 11.5 hours driving at the very best. I take it you have two drivers for the shift?
