Solitaire drill on hellidor

We've one here with a 3m Heliodor and Solitair 8 drill, originally bought it to take some of the load off our existing Maschio/Sulky outfit after taking on a neighbours driling. OK if you can get ploughed up early in spring and ground weathered or on pressed ploughing. We bought a 3m refurbed Lemken power harrow a couple of years ago as the current Maschio combi is a pain to split and to be honest since then we have tended to use the power harrow with the Solitair a lot more as you don't need to pick ground as much and we can run the two drills together and makes supporting a lot easier. It needs well weighted up front, the discs are a good way back and there is a lot of weight on rear tyres.

We were thinking of the same, had solitare 8 with power harrow but lost most of heavy ground drilling and we are light land. Helidor was something like 15K, so we bought a Horsch 3m Pronto DC instead, brilliant drill.

Got this a few years ago. 1200rpm on the flat, 12kph straight on to ploughing. Run a power harrow over the few fields that dry like concrete 1st.
