From pics I've seen I would agree. If I ever have the opportunity to travel the globe, NZ Australia, and UK would be 3 places I'd love to visit. Greatly enjoy seeing how farming is done by you guys

Even the dairy buildings in your pictures look the same!
Yes I missed my early chance to travel really and I guess that is part of the joy if the 'net really - you can see it without leaving home...
One major difference will be the lack of slurry spreading that happens here.
Effluent is usually simply separated and then the "green water" applied via travelling irrigators or sprinkler type systems.
Each way has it's advantages but our way tends to be very easy with low labour input!
(Makes for quite high water usage in some cases, but much of the concrete is just washed with recycled water anyway.)

Interesting. Actually that is starting to catch on in this area. We have several farms with separation systems, in the bottom pic of the last 3 I posted we are spreading spent flush liquid. Problem is that a lot of farmers can't irrigate it due to distance and or investment required for irrigation equipment.

Yes it is an outlay, but I bet you don't work for free just because you like the smell!!
Our last dairy had 4 sprinklers x2 and each side would run for 20 mins each and then off for 20.
So dragging them was quick and easy - last half of the season I ran the farm by myself as we finally managed to get the other staff to sod off (they were not fit for purpose, and that's being polite) - simple as moving them while the cows walk in!

Not many farm systems would you see one guy, running 720 cows sole charge for a few months without problems, but it worked out just fine. We had 90 days storage too, which was empty.
Miss the cows, don't miss staff!!
