Stupid question maybe but what is it or more important what was it? It can’t be an ex articulated steer one can it? It’s gained a combine axle from somewhere anyhow

That’s what it looks like to me as there was no information with the picture.
I presume the front axle failed and they welded up the rear.
A mate did a similar, but temporary, conversion to a large MF with a knackered front diff. Took front axle out and put a lorry axle under it. Used the rear axle to drive it, and articulation to steer it.

Imagine the turning circle if the front axel steered too!
