Something for something...

Hi from West Yorkshire. I am looking for something for free - don't laugh just yet !, I offer something free in return. A friend who beats up in North Yorkshire suggested I try a post on here. I'm a retired police officer, 30 years exemplary service in the Met and currently work within the criminal justice system in Yorkshire. As a youth I lived in the fylde, worked on farms and considered a future in the industry. I am looking for a permission to shoot. Rats and grey squirrels with a sub 12ft lbs air rifle. What I would contribute in return is a responsible, confidential and alert presence on your property whilst I shoot. If this is something that would be of any interest to you or someone you know kindly drop me a PM and I will be happy to answer any questions. Thank you for reading. Chris.

Thank you for your interest.
I am in Robin Hood at the top end of Wakefield but more than happy to travel a bit.
If you would like to discuss would you prefer PM or I am happy to chat.

I've some land in Trinidad West Indies near Blanchisseuse in the north of the island. It's mostly rain forest and nearest road is a fair hike so you have to be physical fit but if as you say you're prepared to travel a bit you're more than welcome to have a shoot. I'd bring plenty of mosquito repellent though

What’s the game species present?

He's a Gentleman, his expertise in the area of Agricultural Finance. He is quite pheasant, doesn't snipe at folk or grouse about everything like some do although he can rabbit on sometimes. He hares about on a large motorcycle. Someone on here is almost guaranteed to know him.

Trinidad might be a tad far to be completely honest, but when I take my summer holidays perhaps I can give you a nudge and we can come to an arrangement ?

absolutely, all you have to do is show up and I'll point out the place on a map. There's no fences or anything, it's literally wild rain forest so you can come and go as you please. There are many protected conversation areas in Trinidad but this patch of land is not one of them so nobody will bug you (except the bugs themselves :D)

Hi. We farm near wakefield. Don’t really have a problem with either at the moment, if we do I’ll get intouch. You could have a quad bikes and 4x4s if you like

Not sure what you mean by Quad bikes and 4x4's though?

Should you find any Grey Squizzers moved in I would appreciate the opportunity to remove them. We had a Red in our Scotland home a few years back until the Greys moved into the area. Our Reds really need help.

I can see how both sides could benefit but it is almost impossible (for a farmer, at any rate) to get out of bed these days without breaking some law or other.

How does a serving police officer react if he has access and notices some small act of law breaking? Do you not take an oath to cover such situations?

Serving officers are expected ( rightly ) to act impartially, apply common sense and, depending on the circumstances use their own discretion on how best to deal with minor transgressions. This is the cornerstone of policing. Without the cooperation and support of the majority of the public the police service cannot function efficiently.

Just my opinion as a former public servant.

Sorry ment you could have a shot at quads or 4x4s. Think they have chased all the squirrels away.
