Something to make the anti France smile

I'm not anti-France, although I dislike the French State (on the whole), and this just makes me wonder two things:

1) why 'democratic' governments generally and, obviously, the French one in this case, just won't listen to their own people;

2) how much inconvenience some people are prepared to put others to when they don't get their own way.

It happens everywhere, here included, but I think it's fair to say that the French are probably world leaders.

Quite right, but it would be a possible security risk if he were open to blackmail about it.

That written, there are good reproductive and evolutionary reasons why an age gap between partners of this sort is unusual, and so would seem 'strange' to many. Nothing morally wrong though, it harms no one, so it's nobody else's business. (y)
