Sources for meat consumption in Uk during last 4yrs.

Not much sign of veganuary in Sainsburys just now. I walked round 15 times looking for the dried milk for the breadmaker and all appeared normal, but with a couple of full shelves of oatmilk. I think the radio ads have reduced a bit too.

The recent drop is more likely to be as much to do with people being turned away because its being sold its more green not to eat animal product, perhaps its more the slant of knocking the competition selling their artificial slop that we should be selling. Using the AHDB adds to reeducate the public to all this false lies being told.
Its a pity we can not get the sense of smell in a advert, Some nice hot beef / lamb / bacon butties the young and unconverted would be unable to resist .Who advises the AHDB on adverts? We need a organisation representing farming to help them put ideas forward. Wonder who? They are not going to listen to individual farmers.
I didn't realise anyone watched live TV anymore, not being able to fast forward the adds means I don't watch.
Do you not think there's value in advertising to the old folk that still watch though?
How do you advertise anything other than burgers to younger people and where?

My parents watch "regular" telly and they are in their 70s....

how do you get a message to them then? They must work to a degree or they would not have ITV etc with adverts!! They would not do it for the sake of it

Social media, I imagine - the QR code on my meat was quite a good idea.
You'd have to be specific - the under 35s don't really use facebook for much other than the messenger. Possibly TikTok is the app of the moment (apparently Instagram is now quite passe).
Don't get me wrong, loads of people watch regular telly. so its useful to run ads there, its just that those people are not young people.

The tv adverts i find really irritating atm. Seems to be every other add is lookin money to save the planet, save the elephants, help workin donkeys, save the polar bears, adopt a snow leopard etc etc and tge rest of them is for either life insurance or funeral plans

My point was the young don't watch live TV its mostly older folk, so if you think that group is still worth advertising to, which they obviously do, then you have to aim at that group with produce they would buy.
Younger people obviously need a different approach for product but you have to reach them some other way.

I notice every advert seems to have a subliminal woke agenda, no adverts of families seem to represent the families I see in West Wales (I am thinking of racial origin)

in relation to the above adds I’ve posted, I wouldn’t say there is any “woke” agenda, just representing the huge multicultural diversity of our population . . .

There is an agenda in tv full stop. The ratio of lgbt people in tv programs is a lot higher than real life. I dont really like my weins watchin this stuf that promotes its normal when its stil not the norm
