Sow thistles

I think it was last years spring damage but i have great crops of sow thistles. Too many for the shovel.

Any suggestions?

Current plan squirt of roundup in each ones centre.

Why are you sowing thistles ....









Just shows how difficult English must be to learn

Weed wiper with 2:1 water to roundup should do it if they stick their heads above the grass but the window will be short

No, not round up, it’ll leave a little patch of dead ground however accurate you are. This would be perfect for the other seeds hiding under the one you just killed!!

Thistlex would be my choice for general spraying but they will be killed with mcpa or 24d easy. None of the above are for handheld sprayers though.

Got my classification wrong. They are spear thistles.

Some are already 2 foot in diameter

I stand by what I said earlier, we call them gore thistles and I knew what you meant in your first post.

@Fendt516profi has the correct spray to use for a knapsack above
