No, just on its own, 12 feet wide is enough with my ancient Kuhn twin disc spreader, I do it twice ideally, once towing the chain harrow upside down and the second time towing 12 feet of Cambridge rolls.

Going to make a front mounted spreader bar on this old fert hopper that I have. Spread grass seed 6m and tow rollers behind. Been using contractor with seeder on rollers for a few years now for undersowing - works well when we get timing right so hope fully having own kit will ensure correct...thefarmingforum.co.uk
my old fiona ' box broadcaster' is a bit narrow at 3m these days.

@Bury the Trash We doubled the investment made in it this year by replacing the metering unit with a recon one from Andy Guest at roughly 400 quid. Will last a lifetime now.
Bro in law also did some forage rape with it this year and it is growing well. I might try some osr with it this autumn.

We have just sown some with Amazon zam. 12 metre discs shutter set st 20 and did twice about 12 foot width and then split wheelings. Just coming nicely.

We use a einbock grass harrow. Works well. I'd roll cultivated ground first.

It's got a seedbox and metering unit on it. It broadcasts the seed out 8 outlets along the 6m.

Virtually anything that puts the seed in and covers it.
Vaddy drill works well as leaves the job quite firm.
The idea that lines in your grass are somehow wrong is false in my honest opinion. Had a client who has hit grass drilled by contractor without fail every year and I reckon he grows grass silage yields that a lot of people would not believe.

I have no experience of their seeders (although considering one) but the slug pelleter I had from them 8 years ago was very good value and has never put a foot wrong.
