Yep, 2 years on the trot.
They didn’t work for us at all.

Yep dd into grazed of cover crop last year . This year the field that is going into soya has been straw raked and left to green up all winter now sprayed off and a false seedbed made at about 1 1/2 - 2 inches max to get another flush of weeds before we drill .

I believe the landowner has done contract with Soya UK. We just do the work.

DD some here, sub-soiled the rest a month before drilling , the packer more or less left a stale seedbed. I think, if anything,the plants that were dd were stronger but our (SimTech) drill is not so good with uneven ground, the plant was less good where we dd , as usual one step forward and two back.

Yes, I have. I’d wager that 75% of the worlds soya crop is dd’ed. Just bear in mind that Soya hates compaction so providing you haven’t got any you can crack on when it warms up a bit. You couldn’t get a better drill for Soya than the 750 because seeding depth is critical, Soya has a fixed length hypocotyl.

Soybeans like a warm seedbed, do not be in a hurry to plant...........here in the U.S. corn is always planted before beans.

Wont be drilling until very end of April/beginning of May. Pigeons are my biggest concern.

Yes 3 times

I’ve yet to ever harvest a crop however !

I’m sure you will be fine, just seems I had a particularly poor experience - I think the pre em recommends was just too hot for my soils
