Soyl or omnia soil testing?

I’m nearing a point of re-testing some fields for p/k/ph etc again- done 5 yrs ago by soyl.

I was v happy with the soyl maps etc & I’m sure we saved £ by applying things where needed rather than blanket applying.

I’m aware of omnia now - do they do a similar thing? Is it cheaper or better than soyl?

We get yield maps off the combine which are also good for finding problem areas - but by then it’s too late...!!

Just wandering what thoughts-experiences folk have had?

Cheers dh

We used to use Soyl several years ago but moved to @Rhiza-UK whom are light years ahead with the agronomy and tech IMO

Soyl maybe offer more these days but I never really did anything I can honestly say improved my yield or saved me £ - in fact it just cost quite a lot really

Harry,

If you would like to hear more about Omnia and how it compares to your previous services from SOYL and other systems on the market such as Rhiza and SoilQuest then please send me a direct message with your contact details and I'll give you a ring. I'm the Precision Technology Specialist at Hutchinsons and I'd be more than happy to discuss it. http://www.omniaprecision.co.uk/

Best regards

Nick

Or you could try the Veris we run. Soil type/texture, continuous organic matter and pH in one pass, creating management zones for the future. A one off cost, never needing to repeated.
