SP sprayer wheel choice

I have a RG 418 Sprayer that currently sits on 700/50/26.5 tyres. I find they sit on top well but if I come across a wet spot they don’t have the traction to drag me through and instead have a habit of spinning on the top and making a mess. What would be the best tyre/rim to fit that will give me more traction and maybe a bit more speed on the road?. Thanks

My 418 is on 600/60/28 VFs and i find same as you in 'tacky' conditions doesn't leave a mark but if you hit a wet spot it sends the oil to the motor that will turn the easiest and just sends mud everywhere and you end up sliding around like a good un! That said i think all SPs with hydro do the same? It looks worst than it is though?

I have always had a 540 24 or 28 on my sp sprayer Which can be set at 10 psi if speed and load is controlled
it will go any where I can walk

many farmers who have contractor often want true lgp tread but in a wet place or on truly heavy land they are next to hopeless

with the lighter hydro sprayerS the best way to drive in the wet is full engine revs and gentle on the control lever pulling back to maintain the engine speed Once you get the knack it will go any where

Alternatives :-
1. Didn't Househam develope traction control some years ago ?
2. Narrower tyre (540 - 600) 28 or 30 inch wheels, Tractor tread
3. Direct drilling.
4. Buy a Chaviot.

I chose options 3 & 4 having experienced a hydro sp sprayer.

option 2 seems the most feasible in the short term!.
