Very extreme out there with minus 32 in the pyrannes

Minus 10 in Madrid with heavy snow

Plus two in main veg winter growing area for Europe, that will rot some broccoli & salad crops.

Spain sure has variations compared to UK.

Hi DA weather forecast for Murcia looks pretty good. Sun every day. Good temps for winter brassica. Not heard anything on grapevine of issues.

0c here at the moment, trees all white from frost that hasn’t thawed from yesterday, outside pipes froze solid🥶. Fog has lifted at last.

Anglia forecast for today:
Weather

Status: Yellow - Frost
Forecast: One or two light showers are possible across Norfolk, especially this morning, but otherwise a dry, bright day. Cold again tonight with clear periods and perhaps a few fog patches developing.

I looked at dark sky app for 4 days ago, not great then.

Iceberg, cucumber & tomatoes have shot up in price.

Broccoli from £7 a box to £9 a box, although that is reasonable for January.

Looking forward to market at 4am tomorrow, haulage could be the issue.

No but that type of Broccoli does not like plus 10 never mind plus two.

Just checking Brittany weather for the Prince de Bretarge caulie, minus 8, will have done millions of pounds worth of damage. I'm gutted losing a £1,000 worth of mine. That is using time machine on dark sky
Whilst I have sympathy for your loss I'll be buggered to reciprocate with the french , this is brexit to quote a phrase

Its worse than I thought.

Broccoli now £16 a box

No aubergine

No cucumber

Plus a few other items

Where is the French caulie? I'm told that it is selling from £18 to £24 per dozen. But I've not even seen any.

Hi, I am not close enough to the veg packers these days to find out about supplies into supermarket packers. I did hear at the weekend that still an issue with Spanish reefer hauliers not that willing to cross the Channel which had put up truck rates for non pre contracted work.
