Spanners for Hydraulics.

Whenever hydraulics need attending to the instinct is to grab a pair of adjustables, so much so that I wouldn't know what the common sizes are for the job. Could someone enlighten me?

Whats wrong with a decent adjustable or 2 I have an old bahco and in most cases its as good as any spanner especially for hydraulic pipes

Spanner’s or adjustable are good in most cases but these are handy for tight spots and cover a lot of eventualities.

I've got an old Whitworth adjustable somewhere, but most modern ones are UNF.

I got a fancy adjustable that locks on nut like vise grips after its on. For my birthday.

I bought a set of them, they've got me out of a few holes especially on the end of a 600mm breaker bar

I've only got compression fittings that go that big, any bigger hoses on the Tigercat are flange fittings

Hammer and long screwdriver will sort that........

Remember to use your adjustable the right way round. The load on the moveable jaw should be at the base of the jaw, not at the point. Won't splay open as much/wreck as many nuts that way.
