Sparetime Online Games

For anyone interested in or already involved in Steam and PC gaming, I see right now GTA V is on sale for a paltry £12.49 (even the premium online version is less than £20!), and Elite dangerous is on sale for less than £5. The Elder scrolls online is also on sale for less than £7.50. Killing floor 2 is less than £7, too.

I can thoroughly recommend Chivalry: Medieval warfare but the learning curve is very very steep and it gets frustrating fas as a new player.

To be fair there is an entire raft of free games and cheap indie games to check out on steam so it is nearly worth downloading Steam just for those.

I prefer Age of Empires 3, I still have an old retail version lying around somewhere, probably doesn't work any more.

To be honest you can't beat the original company of heros with the RC Realism mod installed.

I have the complete collection of both aoe 2 and 3 plus dlc and Microsoft remastered aoe 1. Loved em, grew up on those games. Another game, if you have an Xbox acc mind, for PC is sea of thieves. Free for 14 days :D one snag is that it's 44. Something gb download!! o_O

I would also venture to say... Warthunder used to be good until the devs didn't care about the game anymore. Apparently it's lost a few players. Shame, was a good game in it's day :( I would also highly recommend Warframe. Excellent game and lots more content to it, with content being added often.

Anyone else used to play a game called freelancer on pc? Absolutely loved it, so much you could do and a half decent storyline too.
Also you could easily access the game data so you could mod it however you wanted. Create entire planets, asteroid belts, ships etc. Without needing to know too much about coding.

Not sure it was ever a massively popular game but I haven't played a game like it since or even seen one which is a great shame.

Yes, I used to play it but was a bit too young at the time to get into it properly. Star Citizen is the spiritual successor, done by Chris Roberts who was the guy behind freelancer.

Same, I had it since early access, best survival game out there TBH. Excellent in VR mode too ;)
Yes, I've seen it in VR mode, it really does look incredible.

The forest is another brilliant survival game, better with 2 or more people tho really :)
I have this one, haven't played it since shortly after the early access came out, has it been fleshed out much? I had Stranded Deep at the same time, but that was barely touched after it went up on steam and kinda put me off a lot of those games.
