A neighbouring contractor has just traded in his spearhead machine for a new top of the range contractor sped flail hedge cutter. He’s not too happy with it as the bearings in the head are running red hot. Dealer has changed the bearings but stI’ll running mad hot, has anyone else had the same issues . Is this normal.

A mate of mine; has had same issue, firstly changed bearing, ran them 20 mins, started smoking, fitter had wait for it to cool down, rotor has been mis manufactured , been promised new 5ft head by xmas, that was in July , been loaned a 4ft head for now, brand new machine.
That’s good to know , it’s not the only one , must be a bad batch. Any more dodgy ones anywhere .
