Our vet suggested 1ml long acting penicillin for triplet lambs as we couldn’t get any spectam, had one or with watery mouth but it was the best we could do🤷🏼

Electrolyte solution is worth a try we have done one and had a success, doesn’t work every time but neither does spectam. We had that happen with orojet years ago, expensive.

Good colostrum and TLC, spin.

Once upon a time, we could use a diluted sulfonamide as oral drench for vulnerable lambs, but that's no longer allowed.

A calculated jab of alamycin LA is what we've been advised, but only when the lamb has clear symptoms of watery mouth.

The Vet won't prescribe spectam until a lamb dies of watery mouth and it has been diagnosed by p.m..
Too many have been using it too freely, unfortunately.

Some kind of laxative to make them poo. 5 ml of liquid paraffin. And 1ml betamox. Keep your fingers crossed. Good luck.

Haven't used it for 5 years and had no cases of watery mouth.Perhaps we have just been lucky but we decided to only use it if we saw a problem.Other changes in the lambing shed was to stop cleaning out individual pens and spray disinfectant with fresh straw on top.
The shed is open ,newish with a concrete floor and is thoroughly cleaned out post lambing to become a machinery shed alongside temporary corn storage.

Prevention is your friend. That means pens mucked out after each ewe, limed well, plenty of straw. Buckets in holders up off the floor, ewes' in good order and with good colostrum.

If in any doubt tube the lamb with at least 150ml artificial colostrum at the prescribed strength. with a tube stored in hibscrub or similar, and not those bloody awful red rubber ones!!!!!
