Have a few items on a shopping list to help ease logistics next harvest / drilling campaign, looking to source used and would appreciate suggestions/ collective help of the forum to help me find them

1) Grain trailer - 20t (24-25 cube) with easy sheet and hydraulic door / air and abs - prefer Stewart or larington but anything that seems value considered - must be tidy

2) Chaser bin - older and cheaper the better, 16t or bigger but nothing massive, Horsch or Hawe maybe but brand and condition not important as its for a bit of a workshop project this one - anything considered

3) Wet kit from a artic truck - used or a 3phase powered hydraulic power pack capable of tipping and artic trailer

4) Bag lifter with hydraulic tine adjustment- new or used considered

5) Bag filing bucket with at least 1t capacity - new or used

anyone point me in the direction suitable candidates to fill the above positions ? thanks

For the chaser bin I would call Richard firby as he has quite a few out on hire so he could have some to sell.
Bag lifter I would look at Agriweld very well made stuff. They may make bag fillers aswell.
trailer I would buy a new one then you can spec it completely how you want it and it will last 10-15 years easily.

I have in storage for Agriweld a shop soiled manual adjustable width baglifter on JCB brackets if that’s if interest. As also give Richard Firby a call on the chaser and brown and co have an upcoming sale with some big trailers in. But trailers always make a lot of money at sales. Other option is try the hire companies as it’s the time of year where they are coming home finished with for the season

cheers

If they are replacing them this year at the price they will have risen to, they may also be thinking about whether they'll get replacements in time

The chaser bin will increase your combines capacity by not having to stop and top off trailers. Ideally wants sizing to your combine hopper size and trailers. If your running two combines you’ll want close to three filling into the bin to fill. Then have that all go into your trailer. No exact numbers but that’s what we use here. Also if you can find one on tracks buy it. More compaction comes from the chaser bin than any other harvest implement Also it can be pulled by a smaller tractor.

I’ve run a chaser bin for 10 years in the past

don’t want a big one - just want 1 x tankful for our use so a 14-16t version will be ideal

If you are ltd I would think 1, 4 and 5 best brought new and make use of 130% super deduction, they are items which you will probably keep a long time, by worth what you paid for them in 10 years time and hard to find at a decent saving second hand.

farm is a partnership so super deduction no use to us sadly

had a quote on a new Stewart same spec as existing trailers - up from 21k a few yrs ago to 36k for same spec today !!!
