No render,ship lap (black).
Yes Spanish grade a slate I was advised to use it.
Ordered the windows Thursday the two very big ones had to be aluminium but we have done them all in ally. Got to clarify but slate grey or black I think with possibly a tint in the big ones.
Yes it's going to get a bit of weather so the big frames have had to be beefed up well.
Thanks for positive responses.

sorting out the floors and putting noggin's in the ceilings. Then starting stud work. Really enjoying it as it's different and pretty easy to pick up. The builder is pretty cool he just show's me and gets on with a more technical job.

Yeah the bit that's left open is above the lounge with a area to sit above in the corner ( not sure you can make that out)? The landing will run past the master bedroom to the corner and hopefully French doors in the bedroom will mean you can look across the top of the lounge and through the big window. The view is a valley wth a lake in it. The idea is good but never in bed long enough to sit and enjoy the view!

We have been advised that heating upstairs shouldn't be necessary so will just fit underfloor heating downstairs.

What are these ultra-insulated houses like in the summer? I can't stand a hot bedroom and am a little concerned our new house will be like an oven in the summer.
Just fit a wall mounted Toshiba aircon unit, and switch it off during winter.

Top floor Windows in with others coming tomorrow except two big ones.

Thanks all for encouraging comments.
Contemplating cutting a slot in the roof so we can pour the money in easier!!!
The costs are getting scary compared to what we budget on the farm, but got to keep going now.

Problem is you getting to the expensive bit,if you are going to be living in,have what you can afford ,there are some top places to buy trade kit,I buy lots of Kitchens from Diy Kitchens in Harrogate, really good quality ,a lot better than wren and Howdens, same price, buy decent quality triple a rated, put a lot of bathrooms in latly all prices the bath store\victoria plum stuff is okay, just check it over carefully when it arrives, you can pay a lot more in posh showroom s for the same stuff, flooring is whatever you like but the prices can vary.
If you need pics of Kitchens PM me but can't speak highly enough of Diy,the have a showroom attached to the factory go and look ,simon
