sheet of visqueen too I hope.
so you are using an approved firm of building inspectors. You should be way better with this process as you have stated they are on your side and working for you and any problems should be resolved faster,we have used them on commercial buildings for a long time and would not go back to l/a .If you need to putt in footings i think this should be ok now you have your plans passed if you have part a+b passed ,under the guidance you are not allowed to add structural improvements to the original building for the conversion but the guidance says it is the "intension not to allow structural improvements" so if plans are passed they should not be able to go back on thisWe have and building control have seen them as far as I know. The structural engineer uses his own chap who works independently of the council but is qualified enough to answer and provide details and satisfy them. I am not sure how it works costs the same as the council costs but I was keen to keep all the people involved linked as it works better when all parties are pushing in the same direction! The builder we are using has just finished building the structural engineers daughters house and has got the detailed plans. At the moment our job is simple strip shed. We have a meeting next week with all involved to mark out footings get depth and finish heights etc ready for us to dig. I will have more information then.
Arghhh not the greatest progression. We've been getting ready for builder to start in June then July now been told September!
Kind of lost confidence in him what's to say that won't be November and the hopes of getting walls up and roof on before winter scuppered!
Got a few others to try but was hoping to use one guy for whole job.
Bloody builders there a law unto themselves, especially at the moment ! They seem to forget the bad times when they couldn't find work.
Wish I had more time I would have a go myself. Laying blocks can't be that hard?
