How big is the pill? If it's small enough, core out a bit of carrot, poke pill inside and fill the core back up with the mush you removed. Feed carrot to pony.

yeah been doing all that .....daughter took me to give her the pill....it's tiny but the bugger knew........used apple tonight + mollases .....i got the pill in but i was covered in apple mollase drool by the finish

Without showing the pony the pill first, get a slice of soft bread, break it into 4 pieces. Mould one piece round the pill. Squeeze the other 3 pieces into lumps. Feed the pony 2 lumps, lump with the pill in and finally last lump. That should work in theory but you may have a crafty pony who can spit the pill out.

If you shoot the pony first, it will be easy to poke the pill down it’s throat. Even if the pill doesn’t take effect, the end result is far better than having a healthy pony running about, and far cheaper to keep.

What’s the pill? If it can be crushed then that’s usually harder to spit out and easier to hide. Crush, applesauce + pill into empty wormer tube, try not to get covered.

I think it would be only right and proper that we request Spinny to sign a contract that in the event of having to dispose of a dead horse, the whole process is detailed to us..... so we're not left in a awful limbo of not knowing what happened to the previous dead horse ??

If it's something like Prascend, it most likely tastes nasty as it's not uncommon for them to refuse to eat it.

If the carrot/apple/bread/banana is a small enough piece you can shove it in the side through the gap in the teeth and hold the mouth shut until she starts chewing, then poke in something tasty straightaway. I've had reliable success with that method and a small welsh pony but you have to have the nose in a half-nelson or they try to back out.
