One of my best ewes lambed late this year in June and is still feeding the two gimmer lambs which are absolute belters and I’m wanting to get her tupped again to bring her back in line with the others for lambing I.e March April, but don’t won’t to ween the lambs to early to there detrement, not sure if Sponging her will work? or is this a pointless task and just have to bite the bullet and wean the lambs? thanks for the feed back

Only a few breeds will take the ram whilst still suckling lambs (Dorsets & Charmoise are two that I know of). Most will need to have been weaned in order to conceive. You 'might' get away with sponges/PMSG once they've been weaned a week, but conception rates will be variable, so ideally weaned at least a month ime.

I have a Beltex x Welsh Mule yearling that only lambed late June and has just been tupped last week whilst the lamb is still on her. Had a Texel last year that lambed in October having been served by some ram lambs. Wouldn't like to say either way with your ewe. Think it's all luck!!
