Wipe it with a wet cloth or finger don't overfill in first place keep it flush.
Thanks very much appreciatedI would chase them out with a 5" angle grinder and decent width 5mm diamond blade , blow the dust out thoroughly and fill with a good quality polyurethane mastic , like "Soudal sudaflex" , or "Sika flow " .
Warm the tubes up and cut the nozzle thin so it gets right in , travel upwards wipe of flush and it shouldn't take any harm.
DON'T , leave any gaps and get it well in on a dry clean surface !!
