MCPA and add a wetter. If you can roll them before spraying to bruise the stem. Then fix the thing that's causing them or they'll soon be back.

Use headland polo here 2 weeks grazing withdrawal but works well

MCPA here too, hand held weed wiper for the really steep parts with a strong mix of roundup.
Make sure the weather is right , late in the evening ,mild growing weather.

The above will reduce the conditions under which they thrive, but it certainly won't kill rushes that are already there.

MCPA is the active ingredient. Headland Polo would be a commonly available product name (but there are others).
It was about £4-5/ac last time I bought it, so you won't find anything much cheaper.
It's got to be kept well away from watercourses though, which is why some water boards are hiring out weedwipers to get people to use glyphosate instead.

I had very good results with Spear, and a neighbour had good results with Lark.
I use a drop of milk in the spray. It makes the spray stick to the waxy coating. A trick the vine yards learned years ago...

MCPA is the ingredient, Agritox or Headland Spear are trade names.
Would expect them to cost in the region of £7 an acre with the wetter another £1 or so although I haven't bought any for a few years
