Spray Nozzles

I’m looking at getting new spray nozzles. Currently using 03 and 05 FF. It’s for all cereals, usually 150l/ha apart from pre-em which is 200l/ha.

Our agronomist suggested the Defy 3D nozzles for herbicides and then Amistar for fungicides. Grass weeds (including black grass) would be our main target with herbicides.

Any thoughts on nozzle choice?

I use amistar for everything 150 l ha , 3d probably better for herbicides

I'd go for 03 Bubble Jets. Get good coverage at 200L and fine enough for grass weeds at 3.5 - 4 bar.

Guardian air. Will cover all bases running from 1 to 4 bar.

Defy 3D for everything bar T1 and T2 which get Amistar nozzles works well here.

Recently changed from Guardian airs to Lechler IDKs. I think they're less prone to blocking (I use 03s so larger GAs may be less of a problem) and have a better spray pattern.

Defy 3Ds are incredibly drifty and the angle of them makes them look even worse. Only to be used on the stillest of days.
