Sprayer cable

got a break in cable from tractor to sprayer control box ,
Any one know where you can get cable with 72 wires ,in it or is it better to get genuine one with plug attached ,
£480 though ,its 15 m long

I would just bite the bullet and buy a new one maybe repair old one as a spare

Its for the steering ,have changed 4 wires over as spares in loom and it must be breaking up somewhere ,
New one comes with plug already wired ,looks a pig to pull out and back in

We had the same with one one on a tanker went away for repair came back not fixed. ended up just getting a new one seemed far easier in the end than buggering about with the broken one for it to let us down again when we were busy

Yes it’s for berthoud tenor cable is 15 m long 72 wires

I don’t think you’d get the cable for £480?

The closest thing on Farnell is 80 core, and that’s £998 for a roll of 50m.

@Pheasant Surprise do they just do cable assemblies of more involved work? I’d be interested.

These guys have made fairly complex cable assemblies for me in the past. Found them quite competitive and do good work.

Exactly, I don’t think you could buy the bits and make one yourself for that.
