Situation Vacant Sprayer & GPS Product Support Specialist

An exciting new opportunity has arisen at RVT for a Sprayer & GPS Product Support Specialist. This new role will provide dedicated specialism & support to new and existing users of all types of crop sprayer sold, serviced and supported by RVT as well as working with our existing Precision Farming Team on various projects and support as required.

The role will include:

  • Assisting with the promotion, installation and demonstration of all types of new John Deere crop sprayers and Kuhn mounted crop sprayers
  • Hands on servicing, repair, PDI, modification and upgrade work to crop sprayers including associated GPS products across RVT’s entire trading area
  • NSTS testing a wide range and variety of machines
  • Supporting operators with advice and training on in-field operation
  • Ensuring the highest customer satisfaction and output for machines sold and supported by RVT
  • Maintaining and monitoring a supply of crucial parts and accessories
The role will be largely autonomous, so the successful applicant will need to have good time management skills and an ability to plan and manage their own workload effectively.

This new position will be an addition to and supported by our existing and highly successful Precision Farming Department who also provide our existing CropCare support on several levels across the RVT Group, and as such the role will be based centrally at our Shrewsbury depot within the Precision Farming team, the primary role will be as a Sprayer Product Support Specialist with support being provided to the Precision Farming team as capacity allows.

A company vehicle, phone, I-Pad and laptop are essential to this role and will be provided.

This new position would potentially suit:

  • Someone currently in a similar existing role
  • A mechanically minded and experienced top end sprayer operator (must be conversant with electrics and computer-controlled systems)
  • A technician looking to specialise and develop their current role
A knowledge of current crop care, pesticide application practice & the latest agricultural technology would be a distinct advantage as would any NSTS and PA1/2 qualifications along with a proven ability with mechanics, electrics and electronics.

Training will not be an obstacle for the right applicant and ongoing training will be provided.
