What are people paying for a sprayer MOT carried out on farm?

Just got the bill for my recent test, £275+Vat

Very basic Knight 24m trailed,

Sprayer in perfect order, single line, single nozzle etc.

No parts required and no adjustment etc. needed.

Took 45 mins.
Didnt he/she tell you costs upfront BEFORE he/she did the test?

Calm down. I was merely pointing out the mot chap arrived in his van, looked at sprayer. In my experience. Some, not all, farms dont even clean the machine before a test. Where as the average joe takes his car to a car garage for its test (yes not cleaned ) but you get my point. Also please read your posts before you press ''post reply'' as you are saying you let technicians crawl around in dog sh!t where as I think you meant you dont....

So back on topic.
Personally. Id go back to the company that did the MOT. Say you have asked friends and contacts and they say the going rate is £120 to £140. Yo may be lucky you may not. I always find talking is the best option. But please feel free to ignore me, I'm but ten a penny... ( i think thats what he meant)

On trend , your disdain of customers and lack of understanding of ag is clear , most folk on here have forgotten more than you know about farming ,
