Situation Vacant Sprayer Operator in Cambs

We are a progressively run 900ha farm just south of Cambridge, specialising in no-till and conservation agriculture. More information on the farm can be found on our website, www.thriplow-farms.co.uk

We are looking for a tractor driver who will be the main sprayer operator but will also be expected to be able to work on any other job, including drilling, combining and loading. The farm uses modern, high end, equipment from Fendt, Claas, Horsch & John Deere, all equipped with RTK GPS. In addition to arable work there are also maintenance jobs such as fencing, forestry, and pest control.

Applicants must have PA1/2, and experience with farm work and spraying is preferred, but not essential for the right candidate. BASIS qualification would also be ideal, or at least a willingness to undergo the training. It is important that you are open minded, comfortable using computers, and hard working. A full UK driving license is a requirement.

The farm is compact and so there is little road work, but it will still be necessary to work long days and weekends at busy times of the year. Wage is negotiable depending on experience, but will be in the range of £25-40k, including accommodation.

Please submit CVs by email, the job is available to start immeadiately.
