Sprayer pump diaphragms

I’ve had a strange thing this week. About a month ago (spray season been done here a while except a bit of spring barley) my pump started loosing oil. Bugger, I thought as I’ve done it a couple of times before and find it a bit of a pain. Anyway, I’ve done my bits and bobs pouring oil in the reservoir when I start and when I’ve been done it’s gone. I did a bit on Tuesday and the oil didn’t go, still hasn’t. Now, I’m no believer in things repairing themselves, so it has got me wondering :scratchhead:

Thanks all, job done this afternoon.?
One diaphragm did indeed have a small split in it, but also found a valve that was missing a spring (luckily I’d bought a new valve too, just in case). I can’t see how a spring could have disintegrated enough to get out of it’s housing, so presumably missing since the last person ‘had a go at it’ before I bought it?

Certainly pumping better tonight anyway.:)
